Patchwork Ring: Skaggs Jasper, Black Yuba Chert and Pyrite
This one of a kind statement ring features my personal favorite mineral, Pyrite, Skaggs Jasper and Black Chert from The Yuba River. I cut all of the stones myself, but the Jasper is extra special because I also dug it up from the earth with my own hands in Southern Oregon a couple of summers ago(see the last 4 photos).
All of three of these stones are combined into a single cabochon and set in silver. The face of the ring is about 1” x .75” and the entire setting rests on top of a size 7.5 wide band.
A bit about the energetic properties of the materials in this piece:
Skaggs Jasper is believed to offer energetic properties that promote grounding, stability and protection. It's often associated with the root chakra, strengthening one's connection to the earth and fostering a sense of security.Additionally, Skaggs Jasper is thought to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and encourage emotional balance.
Pyrite is a mineral that brings forth masculine energy, manifestation, action, vitality, willpower and creativity. It's known for its ability to deflect negative energies, attract wealth and abundance, and boost confidence.
Black Chert is a grounding and protective stone, known for fostering resilience, self discovery and ancestral connection. Often called a "sleeper crystal," it helps release negative energy and provides stability. Chert is frequently used to boost courage, enhance willpower, increase energy levels, and aid in finding lost items.
Silver is a metal known to conduct lunar energy, the archetypal feminine energy, mystery, introversion and the unconscious. It’s associated with the element of earth and activates all seven main chakras in the human body.
All metal used is either .925 sterling silver or .999 fine silver. One of a kind and ready to ship.
Here’s a fun video of the mining trip on which I dug up the Skaggs Jasper:
